This year Mobile World Congress will be held February 27 through March 1 and AndroidandMe is reporting that a new Galaxy Tab model will be announced there. The tablet that will be announced is the already rumored Galaxy Tab 11.6.
The specs of this rumored device are pretty outstanding. It is powered by a 2 GHz dual-core Exynos 5250 processor. I don’t think I have ever heard of an Android tablet with a processor at that clockspeed. The Transformer Prime has a quad-core processor with a lower clockspeed at 1.4 GHz. Time will tell which of these processors ends being better. My money is on the Samsung developed Exynos 5250 processor though. The next excited specification is the 2560 × 1600 screen resolution. That is almost exactly twice the number of pixels as 1080p.
AndroidandMe was able to see the device and take pictures but had to delete them. They said that the device ran Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
I can’t wait until MWC now!
